Sheriff’s Office: Translation Disclaimer

Translations of pages on the Morris County Sheriff’s web site are performed by Google™ Translate, a third party service which the sheriff’s office has no control over.

The translation tool is available on all regular web pages and is located at the bottom of the right-hand column. Note that you will be leaving the sheriff’s web site while using Google™ Translate.

The Google™ Translate service provides machine translation without the intervention of human translators. This automated/computerized process cannot match the fluency of a native speaker nor is it a substitute for the skills of a professional translator. The meaning of words depends upon the context in which they’re used. Consequently, the translations are only an approximation of the original content and should not be considered exact.

Some items, including graphics containing text and PDF files, can’t be translated. Also, some basic functionality available on the sheriff’s web pages will not be duplicated in the Google™-generated pages.

The Morris County Sheriff’s Office does not warrant the accuracy or reliability of translated text and shall not be liable for any losses caused by such reliance on the accuracy or reliability of such information.
